Pretty bored, this is something I came up with while laying in bed a while ago. It doesn’t have an ending, dont waste your time reading it, its more for me to have somthing to do lol

Pvt. Cody Jackson is a new recruit in the US Army. Today he moves to the front lines in Iraq with his fellow new recruits. The company medic, William Woodland is also experiencing his first time in battle.

The company are ambushed in their humvee in the middle of a vally. Iraqi soldiers either side, bullets fly everywhere. RPG’s hit the rocks and the vally becomes blocked. The only option is to fight back.

(insert little action scene)

Eventually the US soldiers win and the Iraqi soldiers retreat. There are many casualties but one man, Pvt.Jackson is badly wounded. Woodland the medic comes over to give rapid medical treatment to save his life, but unfortunatly cody dies. Cody then has an out of body experience and looks down on his body and sees the medic trying to resuscitate him. He floats upwards and notices the Iraqi soldiers are regrouping on the eastern side and are returning in numbers. Woodland gets out the CPR kit and uses a high voltage to to bring Cody back to life. It works. Cody finds himself pulled back into his body.

“East. They are regrouping in the East. Thanks doc.” he says.

Confused the other men climb the vallywall and see about 30 men with AK47’s and RPG’s running towards them. They call for the big guns and win the battle easy. The men then move onto their next objective.

When the men are finally at the barracks and there is a moment of peace, Cody and Will make good friends. Cody never tells anyone about what happened and the men never asked him, brushing it off as a strange coincedence.

Two weeks later the men move on, when the humvee breaks down. Cody, who is a fully trained mechanic, opens the hood and looks inside. As he reaches in he gets a little electric shock.

“ahh fuck. Just fuckin shocked meself!”

There is no response from his squad. He walks around the vehicle and everyone is stuck motionless. Calling at them to stop playing he trys to give one of them a slap. His hand passes through their face. Confused he walks back to the front of the car and see’s himself bend over looking in the hood. Strange. He touches his body and immediately finds himself back in the real world. Everything goes back to normal.

A few days later the men find themselves in a battle once again, about 50 enemies and a few sniper’s have them pinned down. The men are stuck in and behind a building that has no cover around it. The soldiers can only lift their heads to give brief firepower back because there is so much metal coming their way. Sgt. Waterman looks out a window to see where the snipers are likely firing from. He instantly falls the the ground with a bullet through his forehead. Pvt. Cody wonders if he can replicate what happened to him a few days before. He finds his nightvision goggles in his bag and removed he battery. He looks at it for a moment and puts it on his toungue, he recieves a small shock.

Again, he finds himself in an out of body situation, this time he uses it to his advantage and walks over the the enemies side and see’s exactly where the snipers are and notes the oppositions firepower. He arrives back at his body and realtime starts up again. He runs to the allied sniper squad and details them on the situation and they successfully take out the enemy snipers.

With his new found abilty he is considered a tactical god among the men. The team win many battles without casualty and he finds himself promoted very quickly to company leader. He acknowledges Will as a super medic and together they pledge that they will win the war without any casualties.

One evening in a sandy iraqi town the sun is setting and the men are garrisoned in a building which is backed onto a river at the edge of town. The river runs along the east wall from north to south and there are no bridges nearby. The rest of town is to the west. Cody checks the town every hour to see if there is any enemy movement. But one day the heavy bass of a mortar echos from the distance across the river. Explosions happen everywhere, the buildings crumbles and men are getting crushed under concrete.

“Evacuate the building!!” Cody yells

He stops time and finds the location of the mortar team. They are well out of range for the rifles. He gets the snipers and the mortar team to dial in on the enemy location. He gets the rest of the squad including Pvt. Woodland to hide behind the sandbag walls. In all the panic he doesn’t check into the city and then finds they are being attack from the rear. He arranges his men to fight them off. One man who was stuck under a peice of ceiling, only just got out of the building runs over towards the men behind the sandbags to back them up.

“Go back!!” yells the medic.

He get shot and falls the the ground in the open. It was every medics nightmare. He wasn’t killed but was in the most open spot possible.

“Shit.” William said under his breath. “I’ve got to go get him.”

William without thinking about himself runs towards the downed man to bring him back to cover. Cody turns to see his friend running in the open. “fuckkkk” He utters to himself as he realises what a shambles this is. He uses his abilty to go and check from Wills position and see if many enemies can see him. Yes it looks like it, three silhouettes of enemies on the roof. With the sun behind them he couldn’t see them clearly from his position.

Then he turns to look at Will. There is a bullet 3 inches away from his forehead. Codys eyes and mouth open with shock. This is the moment before his best friends death. (sad epic music plays) Cody wanders around Will slowly, but knows that from his own body which is 30metres away, there is nothing he can do about it. He sheds a tear and says his goodbyes.

He takes a moment to prepare his mind for the battle ahead and heads back to his body.

CRUNCH. William drops the the ground. The rest of the squad are panicing, the only medic is down. Cody gets his sniper team to turn around and take out the men on the roofs that are pinning down his squad.

Now I can’t think of a good ending… haha, either they win the war OR they all get wiped out and Cody sees Will again but in ghost form and they cotch about haunting people or go to heaven. haha but note, they are not benders so that looks a bit gay.
